Each Amp Pack (*) focuses on one or more amp models (**), and has 15 presets (16 for MKI/MKII users, more on that below). Those presets are built on the same “do it all” template, with 8 scenes. Each preset has the same template and effects settings. What changes from preset to preset are the user cab and the amp settings, and sometimes, the amp model.
Also included are 15 new custom cabs, a 16th one for clean tones, and another one for acoustic simulation (MK I users only). All packs uses the same 15 custom cabs, except those from the “boutique” bundle ( ODS, Two Stone, Wrecker, Mr Z, Comet) which uses another selection of 15 cabs more suited for blues-rock & fusion playing. As usual, those presets are for FRFR systems.
A note for MK I users :
Those presets were made on a Axe-Fx II XL+, which has more memory. Unfortunately, the MKI doesn’t have enough memory needed for all the stuff used here, so, like for AX8 users, I had to split the presets in two. 15 preset has all the “dirty” scenes ( scenes 1-4 of the XL version), and the 16th preset the 4 “clean” scenes (scenes 5-8 of the XL version). MKI/MKII users also have another user cab for acoustic simulation.
(*) Note that these packs doesn’t replace my older ones ; my older packs (Fremen’s picks, Metal & Brit, Cleans & Blues, 5 Scenes) uses different IRs, different templates from preset to preset, and have between 90 and 140 presets each.
Generally, these new presets are brighter than those on my older packs, and although they’re made for live playing, they can be used “as is” for recording. For example, if you need to record heavy rhythms, use scene 1, bypass the reverb block – also read the Tweaking Tips document. They’re also my answer to a frequent request : cheaper/smaller packs, or even, single presets. The price of these Amp Packs is in fact in line with what single presets are often sold for on other websites – except that you get 15 presets (so, much more tonal variations), instead of one !
(**) Some uses different channels of the same amp model, or different models of the same amp family (all the Rectos are in one pack, all the Friedman BE/HBE too, etc.) or brand (Diezel VH4 and Herbert in the same pack, etc.). See the bundles pack list below for more information.

The clean scenes uses a second amp block and other amp models, generally the USA Pre Clean for scenes 5 & 6, and always the Jazz 120 for scene 7. The acoustic simulation uses no amp models but the tonematch block. It’s made for standard electric guitars, not electric guitars with piezo pickup. A few tonematch blocks from my library are provided, to cover different type of pickups. Read the document in the Acoustic simulation blocks library folder for more details.
