My tone library for the NUX MG-400 includes 168 presets, available into 4 packs, or as a 4 packs bundle : Cleans & Acoustic Simulation, Edge & Crunch, Drive and High Gain. These cleans/crunch/rock & heavy rock/metal tones uses all the guitar amp models. The focus here is on getting the best base tone with each amp model, in presets which you can then personalize. There are also a few song-specific presets. All presets use custom IRs, which are embedded. These presets are for FRFR setups/studio monitors/straight to a mixing desk, and are optimized for stereo, while being mono compatible.
Cleans & Acoustic Simulation : 47 presets using all amp models that can deliver clean tones. One preset is for a specific song, Chris Isaac “Wicked game”, another one for Pink Floyd “Another brick in the wall pt 1”. There’s also a couple of ambient tones. Also included, 8 Acoustic simulation presetsfor some specific guitars/pickups : Fender Stratocaster, Fender Telecaster, Gibson SG, Gibson Les Paul and a metal guitar with EMG 81 in bridge.
Edge & Crunch : 40 presets with amp models on the verge of breakup, or into crunch territory, for all styles from modern country, rock or blues. Models used : the Fender, Marshall, Vox, and boutique amps.
Drive: 38 presets for classic rock, blues rock and hard rock, using both British and American amp models (Marshall, Vox, Fender, Dr Z, Budda…). Included, are two presets recreating the Rockman X100 distortion sound, and three presets for U2 songs, “With or without you”, “Where the streets have no name” and “I still haven’t found what I’m looking for”.
High Gain : 46 presets with the following amp models, for either heavy rhythm or leads : SLO 100, Fireman HBE, Die VH4, Dual Rect, Brit 2000, Uber Higain.
