The Pink Floyd presets pack for the Zoom G6 has 82 presets that covers 26 songs : Another brick in the wall Pt 1 & 2, The happiest days of our lives, Breathe, Comfortably numb, Echoes, Goodbye blue sky, Have a cigar, Hey you, High hopes, In the flesh, Marooned, Money, Mother, On the turning away, Run like hell, Shine on you crazy diamond, The final cut, The great gig in the sky, Time, Us and them, Any color you like, Brain damage/Eclipse, Wish you were here, Young lust (with “Sorrow” intro).
The songs are those I play with my Pink Floyd tribute band. Most of the time we cover the original studio versions, sometimes it’s the live versions. For “Mother”, we play the Roger Waters “The Wall” live version ; for “Any color you like”, the Dream Theater cover version. “Money” is tweaked for the “Delicate sound of thunder” live version, “Comfortably numb” too. Note that I used an Axe-Fx live with my band. This pack is a recreation of those Axe-Fx presets, for the Zoom G6.
I recommend that you watch my demo video, where I play almost all the songs, and show which preset is used used for which part :
These presets are meant to be used in stereo, ideally with FRFR amps and/or studio monitors, and direct to PA. They should ideally be used with a Fender Stratocaster type guitar (with a SSS, or HSS pickups config). The acoustic simulation presets are meant to be used with a Strat neck pickup. “Run like hell” is for a Telecaster type guitar.
Some songs are meant to be played consecutively (like Us and them/Any color you like/Brain damage/Eclipse), check my demo video to see in which order my band plays them. Arranging the presets in the correct sequence makes changing presets for the different parts of each song easier.
You may find the amount of delay/reverb too wet on some songs, specially the leads. Watch the full demo video : when playing with a full band, in a big space, this is the amount needed to fit naturally in the mix. My inspiration for this is the live versions, specially from PULSE and Delicate sound of thunder.
