Two days of masterclasses, demos and concerts with some of the finest guitar players in France
L’Européen, a small theater in Paris, was recently home for a gathering of some of the finest guitar players in France – and abroad, with special guest Gus G. (Ozzy Osbourne, Arch Enemy).
I watched a few conferences (there was one on amp modelling !), masterclasses and gear demos, briefly checked the gear on display, and enjoyed the final show. Soon, I’ll post more videos, and write about one of my favorite moments : a conference with Pascal Fillet, a French sound engineer who worked with Steve Vai on recording/mixing “Passion and Warfare”.
He shared incredible exclusive insights on that album, and on working with Steve. I also have videos on that, so I’ll try to translate the more important stuff in English ! Until then, here’s a video from one of the highlights of the concert for me, an extended Youri de Groote solo.
