This is something quite special, as it combines two guitar processors : the IK Multimedia Tonex pedal (*), used for the amp tones, and the Boss GX-100, used for the effects and acoustic simulation. These 71 presets covers 28 songs : Another brick in the wall Pt 1 & 2, The happiest days of our lives, Breathe, Comfortably numb, Coming back to life, Dogs, Echoes, Goodbye blue sky, Have a cigar, Hey you, High hopes, In the flesh, Marooned, Money, Mother, On the turning away, Run like hell, Shine on you crazy diamond, The final cut, The great gig in the sky, Time, Us and them, Any color you like, Brain damage/Eclipse, Wish you were here, Young lust (with “Sorrow” intro).
The songs are those I play with my Pink Floyd tribute band. For “Mother”, we play the Roger Waters “The Wall” live version ; for “Any color you like”, the Dream Theater cover version. “Money” is tweaked for the “Delicate sound of thunder” live version, with some additional parts.
There’s already a GX-100 only version of these presets. But the ToneX + GX-100 is a popular combination, and some ToneX pedal users asked me for something like this ! Specially because Boss never solved the IR loading issue… So, I selected 11 presets from the amp captures I made with the ToneX ecosystem for that pack. Most are from my Mesa Boogie Lonestar and Marshall JVM410 packs, and were tweaked a little when needed for that Pink Floyd pack.
The pack contains instructions on how to combine the two processors together and load the presets in both.
Coming soon, if all goes well : Line 6 HX Effects and Amplitube 5 version of this pack, again, to be combined with the ToneX pedal.
(*) Yes, for the pedal version of the ToneX only, not the software version, as it’s meant for live use
