This Pink Floyd presets pack for the Boss GX-100 covers 28 songs : Another brick in the wall Pt 1 & 2, The happiest days of our lives, Breathe, Comfortably numb, Echoes, Goodbye blue sky, Have a cigar, Hey you, High hopes, In the flesh, Marooned, Money, Mother, On the turning away, Run like hell, Shine on you crazy diamond, The final cut, The great gig in the sky, Time, Us and them, Any color you like, Brain damage/Eclipse, Wish you were here, Young lust (with “Sorrow” intro). Also included are 7 user cabs (IRs).
The songs are those I play with my Pink Floyd tribute band. Most of the time we cover the original studio versions, sometimes it’s the live versions. For “Mother”, we play the Roger Waters “The Wall” live version ; for “Any color you like”, the Dream Theater cover version. “Money” is tweaked for the “Delicate sound of thunder” live version, “Comfortably numb” too. Note that I used an Axe-Fx live with my band. This pack is a recreation of those Axe-Fx presets, that I first ported to the Boss GT-1000.
Setlists
These presets should ideally be used with a Fender Stratocaster type guitar (with a SSS, or HSS pickups config). The acoustic simulation presets are meant to be used with a Strat neck pickup. “Run like hell” is for a Telecaster type guitar. There are two setlists included in the pack : one for SSS guitars, one for HSS.
Unlike my GT-1000 versions, the presets in both uses stock cabs only. There is a bug in the GX-100, which makes user IRs sounding way darker than they should. After I posted a video showing that issue, a Boss representative contacted me and told me it will be fixed. However, it wasn’t fixed, although Boss considers it is.
Included in the pack is an .xls file showing which preset is used for which part of which song, and when to use CTL 1/CTL 2 within a preset. Some tweaking tips are included too.
This demo is a sort of video manual, it shows what presets and Control Switches are used :
Here’s a older demo of the GT-1000 version of the presets :
