This is my metal/hard rock pack for the Fractal Audio AX8, with Quantum firmware 7.02 and above (older firmware not supported). There’s 128 presets here, for rhythm and lead playing, for live and for recording. These presets are for FRFR systems, not traditional guitar speakers. Updates for these presets, if necessary because of changes in the firmware, will always be free.
EDIT 21 March 2018 : Quantum 9.04 updates included in separate folders, and a few bonus presets too. This is not only a firmware update, in many presets I added some blocks/scenes/footswitchable stuff etc
Edit 8th August 2018 : a few bonus presets added for Quantum 10. Older 9.04 presets works perfectly with Quantum 10. One of these presets uses two new custom cabs, that you can store where you want, as these are bundle presets.
Edit 09 July 2019 : two presets added for firmware 10.01 only : a Rockman X100 tonematch, and a Tool VH4 rhythm tone, both adapted from my Axe-Fx III presets.
These presets uses 52 user cabs, which I made from free sources and various techniques like tone matching. All those cabs are included and must be installed at the user spots indicated by their names (see video, link below). A few are my personal mixes of cabs from Valhallir.at, who gave me permission to share them with my presets. Check their cabs here : http://valhallir.at/en/
Installation procedure for presets :
My presets comes in banks of 8, which you can send where you want in your AX8. Backup your own presets first ! And send them to empty spots or over presets you don’t want to keep.
Installation procedure for cabs :
This video was made with an Axe-Fx but the procedure is the same with the AX8. You need to drag & drop each cab to its correct spot, according to its filename (Cab 001 goes to user spot 001, etc.)
Custom harmonizer settings (for Eb tuning)
“Black Star” preset uses the Custom scale 12 (in GLOBAL/Scales) :
3, 3, 4, 3, 4, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 3, 3
Have fun !
Here’s a demo for one of the new Quantum 10 bonus presets :

Bonjour ,

Merci

merci

On the (Metal & Brit)
You indicate: These presets are for FRFR systems, not traditional guitar speakers.
What do you suggest if I’m trying to get those sounds you have
out of my (AX8 into my “Blu guitar” power amp) Into a 4/12 or 2/12 live cabinet?
Do you sell packs made for that setup?
I have a separate question. In my set up, can i use a (cabinet) block in the fractal AX8
in combination with a 4/12 or 2/12 live cabinet for a different sound?
Or you not suppose to?
Thanks man. I hope you can help me out so i can buy from you!
Fremen
Hello ! No, I don’t sell packs for these setups. The IRs I make are essential to my sounds. It’s not recommended to use IRs on real cabinets either. But I did in some gigs where I had to monitor myself with a tube amp. On these occasions, I used OUT 2 and tweaked the global EQ to compensate
